ABOUT ME
Lauren Whitney has been a freelance photographer since 2009. In her career, Ms. Whitney has been involved in commercial and fine art photography industries. In areas including architectural photography, portrait photography, photo manipulation, and photo illustration. Her passion and area of greatest expertise is architectural photography. Ms. Whitney’s academic training includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photographic imaging at the Art Institute of Atlanta (Atlanta, Ga), specializing in architectural photography.
In 2009, Ms. Whitney won the silver Addy award for best new artist and two Graphis new talent awards. And in 2018, she was a recipient of a 2018 Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award for Advocacy regarding her collaboration and documentation of Save Our Story – Save Our Street for Landmark status. Along with a 2018 Landmarks Advocacy Award from the Commission on Chicago Landmarks. Ms. Whitney has been featured in shore magazine, Voyage Chicago Magazine, and has been exhibited at Eye Want Eyeporium gallery and Adventureland gallery. She is also is a contributor to New Art Examiner.
